American Airlines to Launch Free Inflight Wi-Fi Across Most of Fleet by 2026

American Airlines announces it will begin offering free inflight Wi-Fi to passengers starting in January 2026, joining a growing list of U.S. carriers redefining the flying experience by expanding complimentary internet access. The airline says the service will be available on roughly 90% of its domestic and international fleet, making it one of the largest U.S. airlines to roll out free Wi-Fi at scale.

The initiative is made possible through a partnership with AT&T, which will serve as the program’s primary sponsor. The service will be available to all passengers enrolled in American. . .
