As the United Nations General Assembly prepares to vote on a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, anti-Israel protesters gathered outside the UN headquarters in New York City on Monday.

The resolution, similar to one that was vetoed by the United States in the Security Council last week, aims to bring a halt to the violence that has claimed the lives of hundreds of people on both sides. While the U.S. supports a pause in the fighting, it objects to a ceasefire that could allow Hamas to regroup and launch further. . .
