Australian Nine News correspondent Lauren Tomasi is struck in the leg by a rubber bullet fired by a law enforcement officer while covering demonstrations in downtown Los Angeles. The incident, captured live on camera, occurs during protests sparked by aggressive federal immigration raids and the deployment of National Guard forces in the city.

Tomasi is reporting near the Metropolitan Detention Center on June 8 when the LAPD declares the area an “unlawful assembly” and moves in on horseback with riot gear and rubber bullets. As she delivers a live update, a rubber projectile hits her leg, and she reacts in. . .
