With the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season just days away, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) releases its official seasonal forecast, predicting a significantly active season fueled by unusually warm ocean temperatures and ideal storm formation conditions. Announced at a press briefing in Gretna, Louisiana, NOAA’s forecast outlines a 60% chance of an “above-normal” hurricane season, underscoring concerns for communities along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts.
