Pentagon Plans to Add 44,000 Additional Troops

The $1.5 trillion military budget proposed by the White House includes funding to add 44,000 new troops to the US military. 

The 2027 military budget will increase the number of soldiers in the Army from 454,000 to 469,000; the Navy from 344,600 to 356,600 sailors; the Air Force from 321,500 to 333,500 airmen and guardians; and the Marines from 172,300 to 174,800.
