Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration to End Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans

On May 19, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court delivers a significant immigration victory for the Trump administration, ruling that the federal government may proceed with ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 350,000 Venezuelan migrants. The high court lifts a lower court injunction that had blocked the termination, permitting the Department of Homeland Security to begin rescinding protections granted under the program.
