US Fired More Than 70 Advanced Interceptors at 20 Iranian Missiles

The US fired between 60 and 70 Patriot interceptors and more than a dozen THAAD interceptors to counter an Iranian attack involving about 20 ballistic missiles.

Last week, Iran targeted the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan with 20 missiles. The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the US used 60-70 Patriot missiles, as well as multiple THAAD interceptors, to counter the Iranian attack. 

However, several missiles bypassed dozens of interceptors and damaged several aircraft. Some of the Iranian missiles carried warheads that separated into multiple projectiles as they approached. . .
